Non-Fiction Textbook Formatting
Bullets, Numbers, Charts and Graphs are tricky business in formatting. However, this is what owner Suzanna Chriscoe excels at. No two books are the same so we only give custom quotes for textbook style formatting. Prices start the same as customized formatting.

Yes, Elefont Books will format you book using Adobe InDesign and create it in a fluid format. That means if you read vertical or horizontal on tablet or phone, the text will reflow to properly fit the screen.
I suggest with every e-book formatting client they download the Kindle Previewer. It is a free tool to view your ebook on kindle in various configurations for each electronic device your reader may view it on. You can download it HERE
Yes, for formatting you will only need one finalized pdf file (print) and one epub (ebook) for all retailers.
How Does This Work? What Do I Need?
When doing professional formatting, you will need to supply us with an answered questionnaire and a final copy of your manuscript after all editing rounds are completed.
Elefont Books designers take your manuscript and format for the print version first. You will receive a 1st proof to go over then send changes via email or on a 30-minute scheduled zoom meeting with the designer to make changes. Once completed you will receive a second copy to review. Once all the changes are made an author proof file will be sent to you to upload for proofing with the publishing company of choice (Amazon/IngramSpark/Other). Once you receive your author copy, any final adjustments will be made. Then the ebook version will be created. We connect you with a free preview platform to view all files in different electronic formats. It will be packaged for you as an epub file.
Please note it is in your best interest to resolve all copy-editing issues before starting formatting. If copy editing is needed within the document, you will be charged an hourly rate of $60/hour prorated by 15-minute increments.
When completed with the process and books are uploaded, you have a 90-guarantee to fix any formatting errors found by readers caused by Elefont Books. Elefont Books will retain the InDesign files for 2 years.
